Saturday 10 July 2010 saw the 30th Kirkstall Festival held in the Kirkstall Abbey grounds.
The Kirkstall Committee had approached Leeds Movie makers to make a film of such an important occasion.
Subsequently a group of Leeds Moviemakers shot material from Friday morning the 9th July to film the various displays arriving and setting up all through Saturday until the final moments when all packed up and left on Saturday 10th July.
Both days were blessed with dry weather, especially on Saturday which turned out to be very hot and very sunny making filming although enjoyable but also very tiring. The visitors were out in their hundreds each enjoying the entertainements.
Thank you Kirkstall for allowing us the opportunity to film such an important event in you calendar. Now an even harder part is to take place- namely the editing of all the material to make a successful Video.
